Mr. Bruce Winfield, M.Sc., P.Geo, has more than 40 years of experience in the minerals industry as a geologist, corporate executive and consultant. Following 14 years with major mining companies Texasgulf Inc. and Boliden Inc., he held the position of VP Exploration for Greenstone Resources and Eldorado Gold Corporation leading to the exploration and development of five gold deposits. Subsequently as President and or CEO he has led companies exploring primarily in South America for the last twenty years.
Gary Nordin, B.Sc (Geol. Hons)Director, Senior Consulting Geologist
Mr. Nordin is a leading exploration geologist with a proven track record of identifying and developing mining projects. As a co-founding Director and Vice President of Bema Gold Corporation, he successfully identified significant open pit type heap leach gold reserves in the United States and Chile, including the Refugio deposit (6 to 8 million oz). Subsequently, as a founding Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Consulting Geologist of Eldorado Corporation Ltd. from 1990 to 2000, Mr. Nordin participated in the discovery and development of several important gold deposits, including the La Colorada Mine in Mexico (1.0 million oz.), the Kisladag deposit (8.0 million oz.) in Turkey, as well as others. Throughout his career Gary has amassed many contacts within the industry which will assist Orestone in bringing significant mining opportunities to the table. Mr. Nordin has served on the Board of Directors of several publicly listed exploration and mining companies, such as Nevada Pacific Gold before its takeover by US Gold.
John Kanderka, B.Sc.Independant Director
Mr. Kanderka has 40 years of experience in the minerals and oil and gas sectors. His corporate experience spans acting as an officer and as a director in both the private and public sectors in various roles, including strategic planning, corporate finance, management and administration. He has been a company founder and company builder with a wide array of experience in asset purchase and sale transactions, mergers, buyouts, and reorganizations.
James Anderson - BFAIndependent Director
Mr. Anderson serves as Chairman and CEO of Guanajuato Silver Company. His career began in the financial services industry with a successful 19-years as a retail broker, investment banker, and manager with several Canadian investment firms. These included First Canada Capital Ltd., Research Capital Corp., and Majendie Securities Ltd., where he was instrumental in the financing of numerous small-cap public companies in the mining exploration and development industry. James then went on a career in mining exploration, serving as CEO of NuLegacy Gold Corp. from 2012 until April 2019. James was born in the gold mining community of Timmins, Ontario, and is a graduate of the University of Alberta.
