TSX-V: ORS April 15, 2008 - Vancouver, Canada, Orestone Mining Corp. (TSX Venture: ORS) (“Orestone”) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling on the 100% owned, 27,000 hectare Captain Property was carried out during the period February 23 to March 14/08. In the northern part of the property, six holes totaling 1,103 m were completed. Four holes (08-01, 08-04, 08-05 and 08-06) tested structurally-controlled mineralization and two holes (08-02 and 08-03) tested a small portion of a large geophysical chargeability anomaly.

Numerous geophysical and geochemical targets remain to be tested on this largely overburden covered property, including three holes of the original proposal that could not be drilled because of adverse weather. On April 1, 221 core samples were delivered to Acme Labs for Group 1DX multi-element analyses. Results will be available in late April.

Orestone recently acquired four additional claims totaling 762 hectares on the southwest edge of the property, over magnetic anomalies similar to those targeted elsewhere on the property and throughout the prospective Quesnel Terrane.
