Orestone Receives Analytical Results For Percussion Drilling On Captain Property Diamond Drilling Considered

September 25, 2009

TSX-V: ORS September 25, 2009 - Analytical results have been received for 27 shallow percussion drill holes completed throughout Orestone’s 37,000 hectare Captain Property, located south of Terrane Metals’ Mt. Milligan property in north-central B.C. The holes completed during the period June 24 to August 5, 2009 tested 9 of 11 separate target areas for Cu-Au porphyry and other styles of mineralization. The target areas were developed over the past two years from property-wide Induced Polarization and soil geochemical surveys building on previous work by Placer Dome and Noranda in the early 1990’s. Cost of the work totaled about $175,000.

Pyritic and altered intrusive and/or volcanic rocks, locally accompanied by minor copper (chalcopyrite) were encountered in three target areas exhibiting porphyry-style mineralization. Holes in these areas returned anomalous metal values ranging from about 100-200 ppm Cu and 20-40 ppb Au across several tens of feet. In a fourth target area, quartz-pyrite veins with minor chalcopyrite contain anomalous gold values in the 50-700 ppb range locally accompanied by copper values in the 100-150 ppm range in three individual 10 foot sample intervals.

Three large target areas were drilled but remain untested because of deep overburden. Two of the untested target areas are large Induced Polarization chargeability anomalies straddling an aeromagnetic high believed associated with an intrusion. Placer gold occurs along a creek flowing over one of these target areas and down-ice from the other. These targets remain two of the most significant original target areas identified from Orestone’s 2007-2008 surveys. Consideration is being given to testing these targets by diamond drilling.

Management also continues to review joint venture opportunities on other B.C. properties with a number of companies.

About Orestone
Orestone owns three large claim blocks in northern B.C. within Quesnel Terrane, which extends from the US border to northern B.C. Quesnel Terrane hosts numerous mines and many developing bulk tonnage porphyry Cu-Au prospects such as those on the Mt Milligan property mentioned above and on the Kwanika property of Serengeti Resources, 110 km northwest, with many drill holes at Kwanika containing some of the best copper-gold grades for this type of deposit in B.C.
